Chieftains Museum/ Major Ridge Home, the Rome-Floyd ECO Center and the Rome Braves will host River Quest on Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. River Quest is a unique one-day program that allows participan­ts to learn about river ecology and local history by completing a scavenger hunt booklet at both Chieftains Museum and the Rome-Floyd ECO Center, allowing them to receive a voucher good for two free Rome Braves tickets and a chance to win a door prize. Tickets are $5 per person, include a boat ride on the Roman Holiday and can be purchased at either the RomeFloyd ECO Center or online at www.freshtix.com. The Skulls & Hammer Urban Challenge obstacle race will be held July 28 in downtown Rome. Visit skullsandh­ammer.com for event details, to register or volunteer. Registrati­on is $70. Proceeds benefit the Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia. The fee includes a T-shirt, finisher’s medal, access to an after party and a beverage.
