Third Friday Night Cruise-In will hold its antique and classic vehicle cruise-in at East Rome Burger King, 1323 Turner McCall Blvd., today at 6 p.m. Cruise-ins are held the third Friday of every month. Jehovah’s Witnesses, www.jw.org., will host their annual regional Bible convention today through Sunday at the Forum River Center, 301 Tribune St. Sessions will begin at 9:20 a.m. daily. The theme is “Be Courageous.”

Floyd County Court Appointed Special Advocates staff will hold volunteer training from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday. Classes will be held at the CASA office in the Restoratio­n Rome building, 1400 Crane St. Participan­ts must attend both days and attend 10 hours of juvenile court observatio­n to become sworn CASA volunteers. CASA recruits, trains and supervises community volunteers to bring individual attention, urgency and advocacy to abused and neglected children in the foster care system, both in and out of the courtroom. Little River Canyon National Preserve, 4322 Little River Trail, Fort Payne, Alabama, will have nature hikes in both English and Spanish on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Beaver Pond Trailhead and at 2 p.m. at Canyon Mouth Picnic Area. The Beaver Pond Trail hike is free but the Canyon Mouth day use fee will apply ($10 per vehicle for a 7-day pass/$25 for a season pass) at the gate to Canyon Mouth.

The hikes are a little over two hours each and cover 1.5-2 miles. Visitors should wear walking shoes. Water, a hat, sunscreen, bug repellent and a camera are suggested.
