Report: Woman had Xanax, Adderall

A Rome woman was in jail without bond Thursday night after being accused of having Xanax and Adderall in a pill bottle labeled as clonidine.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Ashley Rebecca Dupree, 34, of 2575 Kingston Highway, Lot 6, was arrested at 9 a.m. near Armuchee Elementary School at 5075 Martha Berry Highway.

She is charged with felony possession of dangerous drugs and misdemeano­r drugs not in original container.

Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful will have their community-wide litter index to assess the state of litter as well as graffiti, outside storage, junk vehicles and illegal signs at 8:30 a.m. today at City Hall, 601 Broad St. Volunteers will be briefed on how to score each category at elected sites before departing in a 15-passenger bus to score sites. The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office will host a church safety and security summit from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Forum River Center, 301 Tribune St. The event will include discussion­s of church security and active shooter training, stewards of children training,

Rodeo Rome is today and Saturday at the Coosa Valley Fairground­s. Gates open at 6 p.m. and rodeo starts at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $10 for children 6-12. Kids 5 and under are free.
