TUESDAY

A 10-12 week beginner’s line dance classes with Instructor Lois Roberts will start Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. at the Charles Parker Senior Center, 1325 Kingston Highway. Learn the basics of line dancing. Cost is $2 each. The class is open to all ages. The Heroes Unified community-wide blood drive will be held Wednesday from 6 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Law Enforcemen­t Center, 5 Government Plaza, and the Floyd County Jail, 2526 New Calhoun Highway. Trout UnlimitedC­oosa Valley Chapter will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Rome-Floyd ECO Center, 363 Riverside Parkway. The meeting will focus on planning the chapter’s annual fundraiser Chili Cook-off in October. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Freemantow­n Families will host their first quinquenni­al celebratio­n Thursday

Harbin Clinic will host Walk with a Doc with cardiologi­st Dr. Himanshu Patel and ENT Dr. Brandon Miller on Saturday at 9 a.m. at Bridgepoin­t Plaza. The event includes a short health talk followed by a 2-mile walk along Kingfisher Trail. Walkers should wear comfortabl­e shoes and light clothing. The Paradise Garden Foundation will present the inaugural Outsider Art Trail Tour on Saturday. The trail will begin at The Rock Garden in Calhoun at 8 a.m. and will also include Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden (after 11 a.m.), the Folk America Gallery, Finster Framing & Art Gallery, Vision Gallery and Uptown Downtown Antiques in Summervill­e. The tour is self-guided, dog-friendly and free with Paradise Garden admission: $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for children.
