The Visitors Center at Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden will have artwork on display by Summervill­e’s Donnie Davis through Sept. 1. Davis’ current collection is comprised of a series of paintings depicting various scenes in and around Paradise Garden. Davis teaches painting classes for adults at Paradise Garden. Paradise Garden is open Tuesday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Oak Hill & The Martha Berry Museum will be participat­ing in Blue Star Museums to offer free admission to military personnel and their families through Sept. 3. Blue Star Museums is a collaborat­ion among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and more than 2,000 museums across America. MONDAY

The Georgia Mountain Music Club has an acoustic instrument jam session on Mondays from 6-8 p.m. at the Charles Parker Senior Center, 1325 Kingston Highway. Visitors are welcome to attend the free program. For more informatio­n call 706584-1724.

TUESDAY

A 10-12 week beginner’s line dance classes with Instructor Lois Roberts will start Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. at the Charles C. Parker Senior Center, 1325 Kingston Highway. Learn the basics of line dancing. Cost is $2 each. The class is open to all ages. The Heroes Unified community-wide blood drive will be held Wednesday from 6 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Law Enforcemen­t Center, 5 Government Plaza, and the Floyd County Jail, 2526 New Calhoun Highway. The Exchange Club Family Resource Center will be presenting a series of workshops at Restoratio­n Rome, 1400 Crane St. Workshops are geared toward parents of children age 12 and younger and will feature a variety of topics including discipline and financial literacy.
