13. Chen’s work includes organic shapes arranged to engage with each other and the space they occupy, discrete sculptures and a variety of functional vessels. Chen immigrated to the United States from Taiwan at age 12, earned an MFA from the University of Notre Dame and a BFA from San Jose State University. He is an assistant professor of art and design at the University of Southern Mississipp­i. The Moon Gallery is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
