Building Positive Families offers parenting information sessions the first and second Tuesday of each month from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Community Room at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3000 Garden Lakes Blvd. The sessions on Tues

The September meeting of the Rome African
Violet Study Group will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Federated Garden Center on East Eighth St. The program will be presented by Richard Dixon of The Coosa Valley Fair Association and will discuss how to enter plants in the fair and how to fill out the entry cards. “Play in the dirt” will follow the program.
