Senior Gospel Singers meet every Monday from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Charles C. TUESDAY

The Floyd County Republican Women will meet for lunch on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Red Lobster, 700 Shorter Ave. The meeting will begin at noon. Local GOP candidates who are up for reelection will be speaking. Bring diaper donations for Good Neighbors Ministries, 208 E. Second St.

Rome Seven Hills Rotary will meet noon on Tuesday at Coosa Country Club, 110 Branham Ave., for their Club Assembly and new members’ vocational talks. Guests are welcome.

The Kiwanis Club of Rome meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month, 12 noon - 1 p.m., at Bella Roma Grill, 770 Braves Blvd. Fundraiser and Community Outreach Coordinato­r for Cancer Navigators Sarah Husser will be the guest speaker for Oct. 2. The Disabled American Veterans of Chapter 95 will be at the Rome-Floyd County Library, 205 Riverside Parkway, on Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. to assist veterans in filing benefits claims with the Veterans Administra­tion. The Fire Department will be performing mandatory hydrant flow testing Monday-Friday in West Rome starting around Burnett Ferry Road and Billy Pyle Road and then moving westward through the week. Armuchee High School, 4203 Martha Berry Highway, will host Tribefest on Oct.

TUESDAY

The Exchange Club of Rome will hold a ribbon cutting opening ceremony for the 70th annual Coosa Valley Fair on Tuesday at 5 p.m. The event will feature the Exchange Brass Quintet performing a salute to veterans, the Berry drum line marching with the Young Marines Color Guard and Berry track team and a performanc­e of “The Star Spangled Banner” followed by a flyover.
