Reports: Man molested juvenile

A West Rome resident is being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond on multiple counts of child molestatio­n.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Josue Angel Felipe, 27, of 2535 Shorter Ave., is charged with two counts of aggravated child molestatio­n as well as two counts of sexual battery.

Warrants for the arrest of Felipe allege he committed immoral acts against a female under the age of 16 to arouse or satisfy his own sexual desires between Dec. 13, 2016 and Dec. 13, 2017

A Rome man who was caught with drugs stashed in his undershort­s faces felony charges and probation warrant.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Joseph Shane Witt, 43, of 104 Tyler St. is charged with possession of methamphet- amines and a felony probation violation after he was picked up by a deputy Friday afternoon.

Witt is being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond.

A DeKalb County Alabama man is being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond after an arrest on a misdemeano­r charge Friday.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Earl Thomas Walker, 49, of 1006 Sanders Ave., Fort Payne, Alabama, was charged with a felony for making false statements and writings after he signed a different name on his fingerprin­t card at the Floyd County Jail in April of this year.

Walker was arrested Friday on a misdemeano­r shopliftin­g charge and that’s when deputies discovered the warrant for the felony false statement charges. Doug Walker, associate editor
