Rome man accused of multiple counts of aggravated assault

A Rome man who pulled a pistol out of his pants and pointed it at three people during an altercatio­n last week is facing multiple counts of felony aggravated assault.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Ulric Demond Allen Jr., 25, of 615 Elliott Drive, is charged with three counts of aggravated assault in connection with incidents that occurred Friday night at a location in the Silver Creek area.

An arrest warrant states he pointed it an one victims head and made threats to shoot her and two other members of her family.

Report: Woman ran stop sign, signed false name to document

A Rome woman is facing a felony charge of false statements and writings after police say she ran a stop sign at Coosawatte­e Avenue and Billy Pyle Road.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Dequasha Alexis Miles, 23, of 28 Gardner Drive wrote her name as Sequoia Miles, the name of her sister, on a notepad for the county officer.

During the course of the investigat­ion, police determined her real identity and that she was driving on a suspended license.

In addition to the felony charge, Miles was also cited with misdemeano­rs for giving a false date of birth, obstructio­n of law enforcemen­t, driving on a suspended license and the stop sign violation.

Texas man arrested as fugitive from justice

A Texas man awaits extraditio­n to his home state after his arrested in Rome Saturday.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Gregory Horton II, 39, of Plugervill­e, is charged with being a fugitive from justice. He is wanted by authoritie­s in Travis County, Texas, where the county seat is Austin, on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.
