Broiler/Fryer: National Broiler Market at-a-Glance

For Aug. 15:

Whole broiler/fryer prices are trending steady to weak for all sizes. Supplies are moderate to at times available for current trade needs. Spot market demand is light to moderate and reported as slow. Floor stocks are balanced to sometimes heavy for current needs. Market activity is slow to moderate. In the parts structure, white items and dark items are steady to weak. Offerings are light to moderate with some availabili­ty noted on tenders and bone-in breasts. Demand is light to moderate. Market activity is slow to moderate. In production areas, live supplies are mostly desirable weights.
