Report: Man walked behind store counter, threatened to kill clerk
A Rome man is charged with four counts of making terroristic threats after a series of incidents along East 12th Street in East Rome.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Trevelyn Bruce Bradford, 55, of 831 Hull Ave., walked behind the counter at of a convenience store at 127 E. 12th St. with a firearm and threatened to kill the clerk. Bradford then walked onto Northwest Georgia Housing Authority property, from which he had been banned, and threatened to kill three officers and their family.
Bradford is also charged with felony aggravated assault, a felony failure to appear in court and misdemeanor criminal trespass.
Police: Rome man stole 2 computers from Walmart in 2017
A Rome man faces both felony and misdemeanor theft by shoplifting charges in the wake of an investigation into an incident at the Walmart on U.S. 411 East in May 2017.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Adam Israel Avitia, 30, of Calhoun, was transferred from the Carroll County Jail to the Floyd County Jail on Thursday to face the two-and-ahalf year-old local allegations.
Warrants claim that Avitia broke the security brackets off two laptop computers at the store and then stuffed the computers into a Walmart book bag and walked out of
the store without paying for any of the items.
Avitia is also charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass.
Report: Man charged with false writings to get ID card
A Rome resident has been charged with false statements and writings after authorities determined he presented false information to get an identification card.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Amadeo David AmbrocioLainest, 38, of 702 Grasul Ave., gave the Division of Driver Services false information in November of 2013 in order to get personal ID.
Rome man charged with synthetic pot
A Rome man is charged with felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance after being confronted by police on North Broad Street.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Jeffrey Darshun Elkins, 40, of 1811 N. Broad St., was arrested at his residence around 8:30 p.m. Thursday after police found two bags of suspected synthetic marijuana.
Woman charged with terroristic threats
A Rome woman is charged with felony terroristic threats and acts after allegedly threatening to cut a man who was holding a juvenile child.
According to Floyd County Jail reports;
Linsey Beth Foster, 32, of 16 Rebecca St., is accused of threatening the man at a residence on Blacks Bluff Road on Aug. 9.
She is also charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and simple assault.

Atlanta man charged with felony burglary and racketeering
A 32-year-old Atlanta man was arrested Friday on four burglary charges and one racketeering charge stemming from gang-related incidents in 2016.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Jamarqua Oxtavis Cephus is being held without bond for activity with a criminal street gang out of Oakland City, Atlanta, that involved smash and grab burglaries on multiple occasions throughout Floyd County and the state of Georgia three years ago.
Cephus also entered and aided and abetted thefts in unoccupied buildings such as Southern Pride Food Mart on Martha Berry Highway NE and Mr. C’s Convenience Store on Martha Berry Highway.
He also caused damage in excess of $500 in those stores.
In addition, he is being held for sheriff’s offices in Whitfield, Walker, Baldwin, Richmond, Candler and Tift counties.
Woman charged with felony drug possession, drug-related objects
A 42-year-old woman was charged with possession of meth, possession and use of drug-related objects, operating an unregistered vehicle and driving without insurance Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Natisha Louise Mcdonald was pulled over in a borrowed white Mercedes just past midnight at Ga. 20 and Woods Road when an officer noticed it was the same unregistered vehicle he’d encountered before.
During a search of the vehicle, the officer found a glass pipe wrapped in a cloth. Inside the pipe were small crystal rocks. In the back seat he found a .357 “replica revolver.”
“The item could be easily identified as a firearm even at close encounter and the person could be injured if it is used wrongfully,” the report stated, adding Mcdonald also had an empty plastic bag in a pocket upon booking which the officer believed had once contained a controlled substance.
