Rex Allen, 84, passed away Saturday April 11, 2020 at his home in Acworth, Ga surrounded by his family. A Memorial Service and Celebratio­n of his life will be held at a later date. Rex was born on Feb. 8, 1936 in Yakima Washington. He came to Rome Ga in 1957 after serving in the US Marine Corp in the Korean War. He would serve as a Fireman on the Rome City Fire Dept. and as a Policeman on the Rome City Police Dept. After leaving the Police Dept (which he loved) he became a Terminal Manager for RC Motor Lines and eventually had his own company with owner/operators. He loved riding his motorcycle and was a great mechanic. He was a great Man, Father, Grandfathe­r, Brother, Uncle and Friend. His family will miss him terribly but know that we will be reunited once again. Rex was proceeded in death by his parents Hallie Lee and Lenore Allen, his brother Bob Allen and one sister Gin Walker and his wife of 47 years Mary Ruth Ely Allen. He is survived by his daughters Tammy Allen of Acworth, Debbie Ontko and husband Joe Ontko of Woodstock and Kristy Ingram and husband Kenneth Ingram of Acworth. Three Grandsons Jonithan Rex-allen Young and wife Taylor Young of Fairmont, Dalton Young of Marietta and Wyatt Young of Acworth , One Sister Paula Jo Kerr and husband Calvin Kerr of Rome and many nieces, nephews and friends. Lisa Pamela Mckinzie, age 62, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020, at her residence.

Ms. Mckinzie was born in Rome, Georgia on March 14, 1958, daughter of the late Lawrence Boatright and the late Ruby Watkins Mcclain. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather who raised her, David Glenn “Mac” Mcclain. Ms. Mckinzie attended Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church. She was a graduate of West Georgia College.

Survivors include a son, Joseph “Jody” Mckinzie (Ashley), Rome; two grandchild­ren, Lynlee Mckinzie and Kulenn Mckinzie; two sisters, Patricia Zboray, Durham, NC, and Teresa Johnston, Durham, NC; several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Mckinzie will be cremated. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

Mrs. Mattie Mae Haney Morgan, age 90, of Silver Creek, GA, passed away Sunday morning, April 19, 2020, in a local health care facility.

Mrs. Morgan was born in Floyd County, GA on May 24, 1929, daughter of the late Amos William Haney and the late Alma Johnson Haney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Morgan, by a sister, Sarah Alexander, and by a brother, Richard Haney. Mrs. Morgan retired from West Point Pepperell Manufactur­ing Co. in Lindale following over 51 years at the Lindale mill. She was a member of Pleasant Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include 4 sisters, Kate Rayburn (Buddy), Lindale, Thelma Williams, Rome, Grace Treadaway (Oliver), Aragon, and Doris Litton, Lindale; many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with federal and state guidelines, all services will be private. The 5HY -HUU\ %URRNV ZLOO Ri¿ciate with interment in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the funeral arrangemen­ts.
