My mother always gave us roses to wear to church. She’d give me and my sister red roses and she wore a white rose,” Naff said.

“Mother’s Day is about unconditional love,” Katie Henderson said. “I’ve always had that with my mother and now I get to have with my daughter.” This was Henderson’s first Mother’s Day with her daughter Ruby Kate Henderson. “I just enjoy spending time with all the kids,” Mary Kirkland said. “We’re going to visit my mom tomorrow, so we’re doing something as a family today.” Pictured (from left) are Gunner Kirkland, 5;
