Rome woman charged with escape after reportedly failing to report to jail

A Rome woman is charged with felony escape and misdemeano­r obstructio­n of law enforcemen­t officers after failing to report to the jail to serve three years for drug and firearm charges, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Jessica Faith Burel, 29, is charged with possession of meth, intention to distribute, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. She was scheduled to report to the jail on Jan. 13, but did not.

She is also charged with giving false name, address or birth date to law enforcemen­t officers. She remained in jail with no bond Thursday morning.

A Warner Robbins woman remained in jail with a blanket bond of $5,700 after being charged with felony possession of a Schedule

I controlled substance with intention to distribute and two counts of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Simiracle Nicole Bryant, 26, had over one and a half ounces of marijuana in her possession, as well as a THC brownie. Bryant also had a digital scale and grinder in her possession. The marijuana was packaged in multiple plastic bags.

Bryant is also charged with misdemeano­r possession of drug related objects and a seatbelt violation. She was arrested at Chuck’s Corner on South Broad Street.

A Rome woman charged with burglary, criminal trespass and theft by taking remained in jail Thursday with a blanket bond of $5,700.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Stephania Paige Rhinehart, 31, stole several items of Nike clothing as well as several pairs of Air Jordans from a home on Presley Street on May 11. The items are valued between $800 and $1,000.

A Rome man remained in jail with a blanket bond of $3,500 after being found with a counterfei­t $50 bill, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Christophe­r Dewayne Bailey, 35, was arrested at the intersecti­on of Dodd Boulevard and U.S. 411. He is charged with second-degree forgery.

Report: Man tried to flush jail phone down

After being brought in on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, a Rome man reportedly broke the ear piece of one of the Floyd County Jail phones and tried to flush it down the toilet in the holding cell.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Landon Ray Burgun, 74, is charged with felony interferen­ce of government property and an open container violation. He was released on bond Thursday.

A man remained in jail without bond after he punched the car door of a woman he had been court-ordered to stay away from and cursed at her, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail Reports:

Arnold Hasko, 28, yelled profane language at the victim and attempted to take her phone away from her while she was recording the incident at a residence on Orr Street. He is charged with felony aggravated stalking.
