The Way of the Cross Baptist Church is holding a Tent Revival at the home of the Rev. Donald Lindsey, 1289 Doyle Road, through Friday, June 26, nightly at 7 p.m.

Barker Road will be closed to through traffic on Thursday, June 25, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. while county work crews fix a hole that developed in the road following a cross-drain failure. Drivers are asked to use Ga. 20 West and Burnett Ferry Road as alternate routes around the constructi­on zone.

The Floyd County Board of Elections and Registrati­on is holding a special called meeting at noon on Friday, June 26, in the Commission­ers Caucus Room on the second floor of the Floyd County Administra­tion Building, 12 E. Fourth Ave.

The Red Cross NWGA Chapter office at 112 John Maddox Drive in Rome is holding blood drives from 2-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30; Thursday, July 2; Monday, July 20; and Thursday July 30. All donors will receive free COVID-19 antibody testing. Potential donors are asked to go to www.redcrossbl­ood.org or call 1-800-REDCROSS to schedule an appointmen­t. Walk-in donors will be accepted when possible.

The Rome Area History Center is resuming free tours of the Rome Clocktower on Saturday, July 11. After that, tours will be offered the first Saturday of each month. Tickets are required. Reserve a spot at romegeorgi­a.org or in person at one of the Welcome Centers, across from the Town Green or on Jackson Hill.

American Legion Post 136 from Lindale meets on the fourth Monday of the month starting at 6 p.m. in the VFW post at 2642 Cedartown Highway. Masks are required.

The NWGA Center for Independen­t Living is offering free Personal Protection CARE Kits to people with disabiliti­es who live in Northwest Georgia.
