Teen accused of being getaway driver in Lindale armed robbery
A Rome teenager was arrested on a warrant alleging that he was the getaway driver of a vehicle involved in a Saturday armed robbery in Lindale, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Jason Michael Battaglia, 17, was arrested on Hutcheson Road Sunday by Floyd County police. A warrant for his arrest claims he was present at the scene of an armed robbery at a location on Crescent Avenue in Lindale and then drove the getaway vehicle.
Battaglia is charged with felony robbery involving the use of a gun.
Marijuana, crack cocaine found after
traffic stop
A Rome police officer stopped a vehicle after recognizing the driver as having a suspended license. The traffic stop led to cocaine and marijuana charges, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Ernest Lamar Mcconnell, 59, was arrested by Rome police Sunday night near the intersection of North Fifth Avenue and West Eighth Street. When asked if there was anything in the car the officer needed to know about, Mcconnell said “probably marijuana.”
The officer found a bag of marijuana from Mcconnell’s pants and a crack pipe in the glove box.
Mcconnell is charged with felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug- related objects, driving on a suspended license and a brake light violation.

A Rome man was arrested after going to a place that he had been court- ordered to stay away from, reports stated.
According to Floyd County jail reports:
Ronald Ray Campbell, 21, was picked up by Rome police Sunday on Wadsworth Street around 10: 15 a. m. Campbell is charged with felony aggravated stalking and misdemeanor obstruction of officers.

A Rome woman accused of violating a temporary protective order by harassing another woman is also facing a felony drug charge, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Star Lynn Dyas, 34, was arrested on Calhoun Avenue Sunday by Floyd County police after she went to the residence of the person who had taken out the TPO. Police found she was carrying a pipe containing meth in her pocket.
Dyas is charged with felony aggravated stalking and possession of methamphetamine, along with misdemeanor possession of drug- related objects.
Stolen pistol leads to arrest of Rome man
The search of a Rome man’s home last month led to the recovery of a gun that authorities now know had been stolen, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Devin Makai Young, 20, was picked up on Glenn Milner Boulevard by Floyd County sheriff’s deputies. A warrant stated that a search of his Gordon Street residence on Aug. 29 turned up a stolen Glock .40 pistol.
Young is charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property.
Report: Man threatened to kill Shannon woman
A Rome man is charged with threatening to kill a woman, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Timothy Ray Fiscus, 42, was arrested Friday night by Floyd County police who were responding to a call about threats being made to a woman in Shannon.
Fiscus is charged with a felony for making terroristic threats and acts.
He is also charged with misdemeanor interference with government property after head butting the cage of a police car, along with driving without a license or insurance.

A Dalton woman stopped for driving on an expired tag was found in possession of Xanax and marijuana, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Katlin Anne Wilson, 25, was arrested on Riverside
Parkway in Rome early Saturday morning for driving on an expired tag. During the investigation, police found an undisclosed quantity of marijuana, half a Xanax pill and a digital scale.
Wilson is charged with felony possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, and the misdemeanors possession of marijuana, possession of drug- related objects and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Domestic dispute leads to assault

A domestic dispute at a home in Shannon led to a felony aggravated assault charge against a Shannon man, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Jesse Lee Shuler, 26, is accused of grabbing a woman and putting his hands around her throat during the altercation early Saturday morning.
Shuler is charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor sexual battery, criminal trespass, and battery.

Monday with a bond set at $ 3,900 on charges stemming from an August incident with police.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Justin Keith Jones, 28, scuffled with police around 5: 50 a. m. Aug. 29 on Wilkerson Road. He injured one officer and damaged some equipment.
Jones is charged with three counts of felony obstruction of police and one count of misdemeanor simple assault.
Rome man accused of taking Toyota Prius
A Rome man faces a felony charge for allegedly taking a Toyota Prius without permission from the owner, reports stated.

Dean Martin Hartley Jr., 36, is charged with felony theft by taking a motor vehicle in the incident that occurred at a location on Piedmont Avenue on Sept. 1.
A Rome teen faces felony charges after allegedly swinging and kicking at officers following a traffic stop over the weekend, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Jacob Dwayne Duncan, 17, was taken into custody by Rome police after a Saturday night traffic stop. He is accused of taking a swing at a police officer and kicking at police after falling to the ground.
Duncan is charged with two felony counts of obstruction of police and simple battery against police.
Teen faces drug charge after traffic stop
A Lindale teen who stopped on Ga. Loop 1 for driving without his headlights is facing a felony drug charge, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Austin Kyle Smith, 19, was arrested by Rome police early Sunday near the intersection of Riverside Parkway and Ga. Loop 1.
Police found an open container of alcohol in the driver’s seat along with a THC- laden vape pen. Smith is charged with felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and the misdemeanors driving under the influence of alcohol, open container violation and headlight violation.
