Rome man charged with aggravated stalking

A Rome man who got into a scuffle with another man is charged with felony aggravated stalking after violating a court order to stay away, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Mark Anthony Dunn, 34, also faces misdemeano­r charges of battery and criminal trespass.

Dunn is accused of throwing a man to the ground during a fight Sunday at a location on Alabama Highway. On the way down the man struck an end table, causing a deep cut to his nose. Dougwalker,associatee­ditor

Report: Couple broke

into residence

A Cedartown woman and New York man are charged with first degree burglary and second degree criminal damage to property after allegedly using a lockout kit to break open a garage door window of a residence, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Tammy Michelle Rogers, 34, of Cedartown, and Vincent Angela Cutrone, of Ronkonkoma, New York, caused $500 worth of damage to the garage door of a residence on Sugarwood Drive. Rogers also broke into a pickup truck.

Cutrone was arrested at a gas station on Cedartown Highway, while Rogers was arrested at the residence by Floyd County police.

After FCPD brought Rogers to the bonding lobby, officers found more than a dozen 800 mg ibuprofen pills and a THC cigarette in a plastic bag in her purse.

They are both charged with felony first degree burglary, possession of tools to commit a crime and second degree criminal damage to property.

Rogers is also charged with two counts of crossing guard lines with drugs, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of controlled substances, entering an automobile with intent to commit a felony and misdemeano­r drugs not kept in original container.

Floyd County police chase leads to arrest

Floyd County police chased a vehicle that fled at speeds up to 103 mph on Ga. Loop 1 after the driver failed to stop when directed, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Jose Alfredo Orosco, 29, of Sun Valley, California, continued to drive at around the same speed down Booger Hollow Road as police followed. He eventually pulled off and ran into the woods, where he was apprehende­d.

While searching the vehicle, officers found less than an ounce of marijuana and a glass smoking device with methamphet­amine residue in it, as well as a firearm in the glove box of the car. Officers also found a small bag of meth in front of a mailbox in the direction Orosco ran.

He is charged with felony fleeing from officers, meth possession, possession of a firearm during a crime, misdemeano­r speeding, marijuana possession,

open container and possession of drug-related objects.

Lindale man charged

with burglary

A Lindale man was arrested at a residence on Garden Avenue after he attempted to steal multiple items from inside the residence, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Matthew Jordan Courson, 30, of Lindale, stole a Grillmaste­r grill ($ 75), Mastercraf­t toolbox ($300), Fridgidair­e mini fridge ($75), $400 worth of miscellane­ous personal items, a microwave valued at $150, a handtruck ($50), storage bags ($60), $20 worth of canned food, $ 25 worth of dishes, pots and pans, air compressor ($ 35), an antique dresser valued at $100, a television stand ($ 15), another microwave valued at $50, two $20 lamps, a $200 pressure washer and an LGTV valued at $300.

He is charged with first degree burglary.

A Rome woman was arrested at the intersecti­on of Park and Cedartown streets in Cave Spring on a felony meth possession charge.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Tieva Caila Swanson, 42, was sitting in her car at the intersecti­on when Cave Spring police approached and searched her vehicle. They found a small amount of suspected meth in her car.

Report: Rome man hit 2 vehicles, drove away

A Rome man is charged with two counts of felony hit and run and two counts of criminal damage to property after he hit two vehicles with his own and then drove away, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Charles Aaron Floyd, 38, attempted to enter the two vehicles before he hit them. He is also charged with two counts of criminal trespassin­g, as well as misdemeano­r failure to maintain a lane and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Task force finds cocaine, meth, marijuana at Relax Inn

Rome-floyd Metro Drug Task Force performed a search at at Relax Inn on Martha Berry Boulevard and arrested a Rome man and woman on three drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Chelsea Star Turner, 24, and Cedric Kenyon Smith, 37, had less than an ounce of marijuana, as well as cocaine and meth during the Saturday afternoon search.

They are both charged with felony cocaine possession, meth possession and misdemeano­r marijuana possession.

Rome man charged with meth traffickin­g

Two Rome men was arrested at a residence on Fifth Avenue after RomeFloyd Metro Task Force did a search of the home and found meth, Schedule II drugs and marijuana, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Cory Robert Shelp Jr., 20, had over an ounce of meth and a capsule of dexmethylp­henidate, as well as less than an ounce of marijuana. Officers also found digital scales, numerous packing materials and a glass smoking device. Oscar Bernard Lewis, 65, also had meth and a glass smoking device at the residence.

Shelp is charged with felony drug traffickin­g, meth possession, Schedule II substance possession, possession with intent to distribute, misdemeano­r marijuana possession and possession of drug- related objects.

Lewis is charged with felony meth possession and misdemeano­r possession of drug- related objects.

Report: Shannon woman threatened to

blow up pharmacy

A Shannon woman was arrested at Gala Plaza on Redmond Circle after she allegedly threatened to blow up the pharmacy at West Rome Walmart.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Retha Ann Hood, 76, told a pharmacist at the Walmart she would “blow up the pharmacy and there will be nothing left in the pharmacy” over the phone.

She is charged with felony making terroristi­c threats.

Rome man charged with meth possession

A Rome man was arrested on charges of possessing methamphet­amine and drug- related objects.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Benjamin Franklin Pension, 50, had meth and a smoking device with residue in it when he was arrested Saturday. Rome police officers also discovered his vehicle had no insurance. Pension also is charged with misdemeano­r driving without insurance.

Report: Rome woman hid meth, pipe in

A Rome woman is charged with felony meth possession and misdemeano­r possession of drug-related objects.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Tonya Dawn Brooks, 46, was arrested at the intersecti­on of U. S. 411 and Dean Avenue after Rome police officers found meth and a glass pipe in her clothing.
