The Floyd County Board of Elections and Registrati­on set for Tuesday has been reschedule­d for noon on Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Berry Shorter Room of the Forum River Center, 301 Tribune St. in downtown Rome.

WEDNESDAY

Rome Shakespear­e Festival will hold auditions for “Driving Miss Daisy” at 6 p. m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 at the River District Arts Playhouse, 233 N. Fifth Ave. Casting: Daisy Cauthen, a 70- year- old Jewish woman living in the South; Hoke, her African American chauffeur; and Boolie, her middle- aged son. “Driving Miss Daisy” will run Jan. 21- 31, 2021, at The RAD Playhouse.

A Women’s March to the Polls event will begin assembling at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Town Green in downtown Rome. Speakers will start at 2 p. m., after which participan­ts will march to the Floyd County Administra­tion Building, 12 E. Fourth Ave., for early voting. Signs are permitted ( no sticks/ stakes) and masks are required.

SUNDAY

State Line Baptist Church, 8536 Black’s Bluff Road in Cave Spring, will have Homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 18, starting at 10: 30 a. m. Singing group One Touch will perform. Rodger Whorton will be preaching. Lunch will be after the service.

Bush Arbor Baptist Church, 3290 Black’s Bluff Road, is having Homecoming Service on Sunday, Oct 18. Everyone welcome. Sunday school is at 10 a. m., worship service is at 11 a. m. and evening service is at 6 p. m. The special singers will be The Lamberts, with Brother Buddy Carter bringing the message.
