Report: Cedartown woman fought with police, had heroin

A Cedartown woman remained in jail Tuesday without bond, accused of trying to steal a bicycle and having drugs, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Kendra Elise Mccullough, 27, tried to unstrap someone’s bicycle, then fought officers when she was being detained and gave a false name. Officers also found heroin in her possession.

Mccullough is charged with felony obstructio­n, criminal attempt to commit felony theft, and possession of heroin. She is also charged with three counts of misdemeano­r giving a false name to police and possession of drug-related objects.

Police: Rome man struck woman in face

A Rome man remained in jail Tuesday on a $5,200 bond, accused of hitting a woman in the face in front of small children, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Jason Andrew Fowler, 46, struck a woman in the face, bruising her eye and forehead, at an Old Dalton Road address Monday afternoon with a 3-yearold and an infant present.

Fowler is charged with two felony counts of cruelty to children, as well as misdemeano­r battery under the Family Violence Act.

Report: Man caught on camera stealing license plate, found with pills

A Rome man remained in jail on a $3,500 bond Tuesday, accused of stealing the license plate from a vehicle.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Michael Anthony Martin, 54, was seen on security video footage removing the license plate off a vehicle that didn’t belong to him on Dean Avenue Sunday. He had Xanax pills in his possession at the time of his arrest Monday afternoon.

Martin is charged with misdemeano­r theft by taking and felony possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance.
