WHITE, Sandra Eileen Yoe

Sandra Eileen Yoe White passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, February 1st, 2021 after a two-year battle with cancer.

Sandra was born on April 14, 1944 to Dr. and Mrs. Alphus Omega Yoe, Jr. in Talladega, Alabama. Sandra graduated in 1962 from Talladega High School where she received many honors.

Sandra attended Auburn University where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. She then transferre­d to Birmingham Southern to be a voice major and thereafter, transferre­d to Jacksonvil­le State University.

Sandra married Charles L. White of Talladega on June 5, 1965, and they enjoyed 55 years of marital happiness. Sandra had a love for decorating, was a talented artist and especially enjoyed painting portraits of family members. She also relished her time at the family lake house with her nine grandchild­ren and her friends.

Her love of Christ led her to be an active member of First Baptist Church of Rome, where she served as Sunday School director, twice served as the interim youth minister, twice served as the Pastor’s secretary, designed the church’s prayer room, sang in the sanctuary choir for over forty years and ZDV RQH RI WKH ¿UVW ZRPHQ WR be elected as a Deacon.

Her passion in life was her family. She was a very selfless, kindhearte­d, and loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmothe­r.

Sandra leaves behind her loving husband, Charles L. White, along with her three children, Charlie and his wife Karen, and their children Chase, Sam, and Ava; Andrew and his children, Caro
