Rome man accused of crashing his car into Sunset Drive home

A Rome man was held without bond Wednesday, charged with second degree criminal trespass after he crashed a car into a house, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Timothy Steven Beam, 51, was driving an uninsured car without a license through multiple yards before he finally wrecked the vehicle at a residence on Sunset Drive.

He is additional­ly charged with misdemeano­r failure

to maintain a lane, driving an uninsured vehicle, driving without a license and a parole violation.

Report: Convicted felon kept gun in car

A Rome woman is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after she was arrested at a residence on 11th Street, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Cierre Nichell Jackson, 31, had a Taurus G3c 9mm in her vehicle on Oct. 4, 2020.

She was being held for Chattooga County Sheriff’s

Office Wednesday on unspecifie­d changes.

Report: Car tag stolen

in FMC parking lot

A vehicle’s tag was stolen in the parking lot of Floyd Medical Center on Feb. 2 sometime before 5:45 p.m., reports stated.

According to Rome Police Department reports:

The vehicle owner realized the tag was missing after she left work. She returned to her parking place and found the caps that held the license plate in place.

The owner gave the officer the tag number to be entered into the system.

Rome police officers are looking into a theft that occurred Tuesday night after a woman discovered two

Power Wheels toys missing from her front yard.

According to Rome Police Department reports:

The woman looked out her front porch after she heard noise coming from the yard and saw a pick-up truck speeding away from the house.

A pink Minnie Mouse Power Wheels and a gray Power Wheels Fighter Jet toy were both stolen from the yard.
