Mary Ann Green Jacks September 27, 1934 - April 16, 2021

Mary Ann Green Jacks, age 86, longtime resident of 109 W. Laurel Ave., Rome and Cedar Hill Assisted Living, Cedartown, recently moved to Cave Spring Manor, Cave Spring, where she died Friday morning peacefully in her sleep.

She was born September 27, 1934 in Rome, a daughter of the late Ernest Theophilus Green and the late Mary Lou Brock Green. Mary Ann attended Rome High School.

She retired from Georgia State Government March 1, 1997 after 21 years of employment. She was a member of West Rome Baptist Church for many years. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking. Mary Ann wanted her life to glorify The Lord Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold “Pete” Emmett Jacks, brothers: David Richard Green, Odis Garner Green, Travis Reynolds Green, a grandson Matthew Prather, and sonin-law Larry Mattos.

Surviving is one son and wife, Stephen David Jacks and Ann Jacks, Cedartown, daughters, Donna Marlene Mattos, Rome, Rebecca Ann Jones and husband, Chris Jones, Cave Spring; three grandchild­ren whom she loved very much, Stephen 0DQV¿HOG &DUWHUVYLOO­H 5\DQ Jones, Cave Spring and Mark Jacks, Cedartown; one great JUDQGVRQ %U\FH 0DQV¿HOG one brother, Thomas “Tommy” Edward Green and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, April 21st, in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings, Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, ZLWK 5HY 7RPP\ *UHHQ Ri¿ciating. Interment will be in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Good Shepherd ployed as Code Enforcemen­t 2I¿FHU ZLWK %DUWRZ &RXQW\ for several years. Mr. Little was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, the former Lynn Smith, to whom he was married on July 26, 1990; a daughter, Felisha Carter (Caleb), Lindale; 3 grandchild­ren, Caleb Carter, Jr., Kaylynn Carter, and Ruby Carter; 2 sisters, Suzy Day, Rome, and Kathy Roach, Ava, MO; 3 brothers, David, Wayne, and Gerald Little, all of Rome; nieces and nephew.

A memorial service will be held at the graveside in East View Cemetery later.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the funeral arrangemen­ts.
