Floyd County man faces aggravated stalking charge

A northeast Floyd County man was taken into custody after a domestic altercatio­n at a home on East Hermitage Road, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Brett Jackson Hyatt, 35, is charged with aggravated stalking and was being held Monday without bond.

He was picked up Saturday around 6:20 p.m. after police were called to a disturbanc­e at the home. Floyd County police reported that Hyatt was at the residence in violation of a conditiona­l bond to keep him away from the victim and victim’s property.

Cave Spring woman arrested

as fugitive

During an investigat­ion into a domestic incident police discovered that a woman had an outstandin­g warrant for her arrest in Alabama, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Cedron Kelley Porter, 31, of Cave Spring was arrested around 11 a.m. Saturday at her home and charged with being a fugitive from justice. She has a warrant for her arrest in Cherokee County alleging three drug-related charges.

Silver Creek man charged

with stalking

A Floyd County man was arrested on two felony counts of aggravated stalking.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Jason Nathaniel Pope Jr., 28, of Silver Creek was picked up at a location on Rockmart Highway late Friday night after police determined he violated a temporary protective order to stay more than 300 yards away from a person’s residence.

Police: Rome man hit woman,

broke her phone

A Rome man was arrested at a residence on Jim Lee Drive Sunday night on accusation­s that he struck a woman in the face and broke her iphone 11, valued at $1,000.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Henry Ronald Davidson Jr., 49, is charged with felony criminal damage to property and misdemeano­r family violence battery.

He was released from jail on a $4,800 bond Monday.
