The Cave Spring Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 4. Lineup begins at 5 p.m. at Georgia School for the Deaf guard shack on Perry Farm Road. The parade starts at 5 p.m., goes down Alabama Street and ends behind the elementary school.

The Porcelain Art Guild will hold their annual Christmas Luncheon on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. at Provino’s, 288 Shorter Ave. Please bring a Christmast­hemed painted piece for a gift exchange.

Restoratio­n Lindale, Inc. will host Christmas in Lindale 2021 on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 2-6 p.m. Parade lineup is at Pepperell Primary School at 2 p.m.; the parade starts at 2:30 p.m. The Star Lighting Festival is on South First Street; the ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m.

The East Rome High School Monument Dedication Ceremony will take place on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. at East Bend Shopping Center, 1402 Turner McCall Blvd., at the flagpole.

Winter Art Market will be held at the Rome Civic Center, 400 Civic Center Drive, on Saturday, Dec. 4, and Sunday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring artists, crafters, growers and food vendors. Free parking and admission.

Auditions for Rome Little Theatre’s production of “Morningsid­e” will be held Monday, Dec. 6, and Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the DeSoto Theatre. Visit RomeLittle­Theatre.com/auditions for informatio­n.

Lindale Christmas Trolley Tour will be held at the Lindale Train Viewing Platform, 2 Park Ave., Lindale, on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 6 p.m. Enjoy stories of Lindale Christmas past shared by Tim Reynolds, caroling by Pepperell High School Chorus and warm refreshmen­ts. The Floyd County Republican Women will meet Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Coosa Country Club. Must RSVP by Dec. 3, for lunch, to be served at 11:30 a.m. Guest speaker is Kelvin King, candidate for U.S. Senate. Special guest is Harbor House Director Joe Costolnick. Please bring snacks and drinks for the children at Harbor House.

Rome Compassion­ate Friends has a meeting on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. at Life Church, 19 John Davenport Drive. This meeting is for anyone that has lost a child, grandchild or sibling at any age or any reason.

The Floyd-Rome Retired Educators Associatio­n will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at the Thornton Recreation Center, 102 B. Floyd Park Road. State Sen. Chuck Hufstetler is the program speaker and a catered meal will be served.

Lauretta Hannon presents “A Christmas Memory” reading for adults at the Rome Area History Center, 305 Broad St., on Thursday, Dec. 16, at 6 p.m. The 40 minute reading of Truman Capote’s short story is free.

Victorian Christmas Trolley Tours will begin at the Rome Area History Center, 305 Broad St., on Friday, Dec. 17, at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Advance tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at RomeGeorgi­a.org/victorian.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, 3300 Garden Lakes Parkway, is hosting a live nativity from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, called Walk the Path to Bethlehem. The rain date is Dec. 20.
