Report: Lindale man broke window entering house, threatened person with knife

A Lindale man was arrested on Alabama Highway after he reportedly broke a window while entering a home on Alfred Avenue and threatened a person with a knife, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Michael Shane Cook, 46, pulled a kitchen knife on the person, causing injury. He then left the scene and refused to stop for two officers when they tried to investigat­e. During the incident, Floyd County police officers found less than an ounce of marijuana in the vehicle and found the vehicle was unregister­ed.

Cook is charged with felony aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, two misdemeano­r counts of obstructio­n, operation of an unregister­ed vehicle, marijuana possession and driving without insurance.

He was held on a $10,100 bond Friday.

A Rome woman was arrested at the West Rome Walmart on Redmond Circle after she reportedly stole $98.26 worth of merchandis­e.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Amy Christine Hendrix, 40, also had a glass smoking device containing suspected meth residue. Hendrix is charged with felony meth possession, misdemeano­r drug-related object possession and theft by shopliftin­g.

She was held on a $5,700 bond Friday.

ROME MAN CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED STALKING

A Rome man is charged with felony aggravated stalking after he violated a temporary protection order by going to the person’s residence, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Jonathan Paul Christie, 39, was held without bond Friday.
