LANCE, Yvonne Louise

Mrs. Yvonne Louise Lance, age 81, of Rome, GA, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Lance was born in Floyd County, GA, on December 18, 1940, daughter of the late Clay Leonard Owens and the late Eunice Louise Sutton Owens. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Carrie Marie Owens, and by her brother, Charles Leonard Owens. Mrs. Lance was a graduate of Coosa High School. Before her retirement, she worked in materials management at Floyd Medical Center for 18 years. Mrs. Lance loved and invested in her family and enjoyed getting together with them whenever possible. She was an amazing cook, and would not allow you to visit without getting fed. Mrs. /DQFH ORYHG ÀRZHUV ZLWK D special interest in roses and petunias. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Leon Lance, Rome, to whom she was married on July 2, 1960; her son, Gary Lance (Kim), Rome; 2 grandsons, Brandon Lance (Gina), Rome, and -Hɣ /DQFH .DWLH 5RPH great-grandchildren, Anna Claire Lance, Bryant Lance, Ellie Kate Lance and Henley Lance; special friends, Martha Moore and Mary Frances Wilson; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, with the Rev. Jamie Moore and WKH 5HY 3KLO :DGH RɤFLDWING. Interment will follow in Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12pm until 2pm at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel.

Pallbearers are to assemble by 1:30pm on Tuesday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, and include: Brandon Lance, Tommy Stegall, Leonard Owens, Barry Allen and Donald Lance.
