Mr. Ronnie Ray Jennings, age 69, of Rome, GA, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, at a local hospital.

Ronnie Ray Jennings was born in Rome, GA on July 19, 1953, son of the late William Frank Jennings and the late Eva Sylvia Sauceda. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Gene Jennings, and by his sister, Alma Jennings Mcrae.

Mr. Jennings grew up in San Antonio, TX. He moved to Rome, GA during his high school years. Mr. Jennings attended West Rome High School and graduated from Coosa Valley Technical School in 1974. He worked at 3UR¿OH ([WUXVLRQ &RPSDQ\ for 34 years until he retired in 2010. Mr. Jennings was a U.S. Army veteran. He was passionate about :RUOG +LVWRU\ VSHFL¿FDOLY American History, with a focus on the Revolution­ary War. Mr. Jennings was a selftaught, local artist known for his realistic portraits and landscapes.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Elaine Jennings, to whom he was married for almost 50 years; his three children, Mandy Dobson (Kevin), Nicole Harwell (John), and Michael Jennings (Jessica); grandchild­ren, Shelby Dobson, Isaac and Owen Harwell; brothers, William Jennings, and David Jennings; sisters, Hazel Saldana and Connie Felan; many nephews and nieces in Rome, GA and San Antonio, TX.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 7:00 pm at in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Rev. Tony &DUJOH RɤFLDWLQJ

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 5:00pm until the time of service.
