Rockmart man charged with child molestatio­n

A Rockmart man was arrested Monday after making contact with someone online whom he believed to be a child under 16 years old, sending this person graphic photos of himself and requesting nude photos, reports state.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Trinity Denali Bean, 24, is charged with aggravated child molestatio­n and sexual exploitati­on of children as well as felony obscene internet contact with a child, furnishing obscene materials and electronic enticement of a child.

TASK FORCE ARRESTS TEENS ON FELONY MARIJUANA CHARGES

The Rome Floyd Metro Task Force arrested two teens Monday night on Second Avenue and charged them with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, reports state.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

D’marion Market Grier, 18, and Brandon Charles Griffin, 17, are both charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. They had over an ounce of marijuana in their possession.

Grier is also charged with possession of a firearm, a 9mm rifle, during the commission of a felony. Both were being held without Tuesday.

ROME WOMAN ACCUSED OF CASHING STOLEN LOTTERY TICKETS

A Rome woman faces two counts of felony unlawful influence of prizes after she cashed in lottery tickets that had been stolen during a Jan. 3 robbery on New Calhoun Highway, reports state.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Amanda Dawn Fricks, 33, was arrested late Monday night on Shorter Avenue and also charged with misdemeano­r pedestrian in roadway and obstructin­g law enforcemen­t. She wa being held on $10,000 bond Tuesday.

POLICE: MAN KICKED CHILD DOWN STEPS

A Floyd County man accused of kicking a child down a set of steps onto a concrete walkway was arrested Monday evening on Rising Fawn Trail and charged with felony cruelty to children, reports state.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Brian Clayton Payne, 49, was being held on $10,000 bond Tuesday.

NORTH ROME MAN CHARGED WITH METH POSSESSION

A North Rome man was arrested Monday afternoon at the West Rome Walmart and charged with misdemeano­r shopliftin­g and felony possession of meth, reports state.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Deqwan Keith Stafford, 31, is also charged with felony possession of a Schedule II substance, believed to be steroids. He was being held without bond Tuesday.
