CHUPP, Jr., Charles Don ‘Donny’

Mr. Charles Don ‘Donny’ Chupp, Jr, age 66, of Rome, GA, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Mr. Chupp was born on July 21, 1956 in Atlanta to his loving parents, the late Mary Strickland Chupp and Charles Don Chupp, Sr of Rome, GA.

After graduating high school and from the University of Georgia he went on to work in food service and he was the former co-owner of Allied Foods. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His grandchildren were his world, and he spent as much time with them as he could. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs! Donny especially enjoyed worshiping the Lord and serving with his church, Northside Church. Donny was generous with his time and talents and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Donny is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Joy Rochester Chupp of Rome, GA; daughters, Mary Elizabeth Johns and her husband Brandon; Hannah Addis and her husband Chris; father, Charles Don Chupp, Sr; grandchildren, Hudson Johns, Asher Johns, Clementine Addis and another grandchild on the way; brother, David Chupp and his wife Shirley; sister-inlaw, Fran Williams. Several other family members also survive. Donny was preceded in death by his mother, Mary S. Chupp.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday March 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Salmon Funeral Home. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday March 6, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the service hour at 1:00 PM.
