Armuchee man accused of breaking in to previous assault victim’s home
A 36-year-old Armuchee man faces felony aggravated stalking and burglary charges after police say he broke in to the home of a woman he was already accused of threatening with a knife in August 2022.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
A condition of Derick Wayne Mobbs’ bond is to have no contact with the woman he is accused of attacking. However, he entered the woman’s home on April 13 and then refused to leave.
Mobbs has pending charges of felony aggravated assault and false imprisonment and a potential trial date set for June. He now faces additional charges of aggravated stalking, burglary and misdemeanor failure to appear.
He remained in jail on Wednesday without bond.
FLOYD COUNTY MAN FACES FALSE IMPRISONMENT CHARGE
A Floyd County man is accused of closing a door on the hand of a woman to keep her from leaving a home on Wayside Road, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Alex Michael Monroe, 33, is accused of felony false imprisonment as well as misdemeanor battery under the Family Violence Act and criminal trespass.
He is also accused of breaking a window at the residence during the incident. He remained in jail without bond Wednesday.
POLICE: ROME MAN ATTACKED WOMAN, STRUCK CHILD IN FACE
A 24-year-old Rome man is accused of attacking a woman and a child at a residence on Harmony Road, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Gene Shelton Cadle is charged with felony first-degree cruelty to children as well as misdemeanor reckless conduct and simple assault under the
Family Violence Act. Cadle is accused of throwing an item during the incident and striking a child in the face.
3 FACE METH CHARGES AFTER ARREST AT HERITAGE PARK
Rome police arrested three men at Heritage Park after finding methamphetamine and marijuana as well as a glass pipe, digital scales and an open bottle of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey in their vehicle, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Stevelle Lavelle Henderson, 33; James Henry Perkins, 48; and Jesus Trevino, 45; are all charged with felony possession of methamphetamine as well as misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects and an open container violation.
Both Henderson and Perkins remained in jail without bond. Trevino’s bond was set at $7,500 Wednesday.
