Seaholm tennis bests Stoney Creek

The following are high school sports results from around Oakland County that were reported to The Oakland Press.

Boys tennis SEAHOLM 6, STONEY CREEK 2

The Birmingham Seaholm tennis team picked up a 6-2 win over Stoney Creek on Tuesday.

The Maples were led by their doubles team, which won all four flights. Jonny Cross and Brendan Lamb won No. 1 doubles (6-2, 6-3), Nolan Werner and Alex Lewis won No. 2 doubles (6-1, 6-0), Brady Wright and Owen O’Neill won No. 3 doubles (6-2, 6-3), and Zane Chutkow and Alex George won No. 4 doubles (6-0, 6-2).

Owen Claar won No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-2) and No. 4 Ryan Lewis was a winner (75, 7-6) for the Maples.

Iskender Geldiyev of Stoney Creek won at No. 1 singles (6-0, 6-2) and Jon Barretto won No. 3 singles (6-4, 6-2).

Volleyball

WOLL SWEEPS CABRINI

The Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes volleyball team moved to 2-0 in CHSL play on Wednesday with a 2513, 25-16, 25-4 win over Cabrini.

Alexis Koenig had 18 service points, seven kills, six digs and four aces to lead the Lakers (2-4, 2-0) in the win. Brooklyn Robak added 16 assists, 12 service points, three kills and two aces. Emma Marinelli had 11 points with six digs and three aces.

Boys soccer

SEAHOLM 3, LAKE ORION 1

Enzo Ramus scored a minute into Wednesday’s game to lead Seaholm to a 3-1 win over Lake Orion.

Cash Ericson and Dylan Genzlinger also found the net for the Maples (2-1-1) in

the victory.

BERKLEY 4, SEAHOLM 0

On Tuesday, Berkley picked up a 4-0 win over

Seaholm in OAA Red soccer action. Mico Rubio scored two goals to lead the Bears in the win, while TJ Withrow and Henry Roberson also found the net.

Girls cross country LAKELAND 21, WALLED LAKE CENTRAL 37

The Lakeland girls cross country team secured a Lakes Valley Conference win over Walled Lake Central on Tuesday evening.

Aria Novello finished first to lead the Eagles in the win. Mia McDonald placed third, Molly Libby was fourth, Trinity Mann was sixth and Ava Walsh placed seventh.

Girls golf ROCHESTER 193, NORTH FARMINGTON 219

Rochester moved to 3-1 in OAA White play on Wednesday with a 193-219 win over North Farmington.

Hannah Bennett led the Falcons with a 42 while Reagan Engel shot a 49.

GROVES 202, ROYAL OAK 211

The Birmingham Groves golf team grabbed an OAA win over Royal Oak on Wednesday.

Clarice Kim shot a 47 to lead the Falcons, while Lily Warnica carded a 48.

LAKELAND 212, WATERFORD KETTERING 223

The Lakeland girls golf team earned a Lakes Valley Conference win on Tuesday at Pontiac Country Club.

Bryn Dubin led the Eagles with a 50, taking medalist honors. Sana Singh shot a 51, while Kate Norek added a 54. Karolina Spiewak and Gretchen Ullrich each shot a 57.
