Troy Athens unbeaten in OAA White volleyball race

Volleyball

TROY ATHENS SWEEPS ROYAL OAK

The Troy Athens volleyball team stayed unbeaten in the OAA White on Tuesday night with a 2511, 25-7, 25-14 win over Royal Oak.

Madison Kinsman led the Red Hawks in the win with 13 kills while Casey Gruber and Nya Mays each had six. Margaret Cubitt added 21 assists and eight aces, while Brielle Sharp posted 23 digs.

CLAWSON FALLS TO OAKLAND CHRISTIAN

The Clawson volleyball team suffered a 25-21, 25-17, 27-25 loss to Auburn Hills Oakland Christian on Tuesday night.

Aliyah Vesper led the Trojans (10- 4) with four kills and 10 digs. Jillian Liford added five kills and four blocks, while Charlie Verner had eight kills. Renata Carlesimo tallied 12 assists and nine digs.

Boys tennis

LAKELAND BESTS SOUTH LYON EAST

The Lakeland boys tennis team moved to 11-1 on the season Tuesday with a 6-3 win over South Lyon East.

Singles winners for the Eagles were No. 3 Zack Swartz and No. 4 Eli Parsons.

Doubles winners for Lakeland were No. 1 Caiden Carlson and Will Dungan, No. 2 Alex Zerona and Hector Benitez, No. 3 Daniel Stebbins and Bryan Artip, and No. 5 Logan Hayes and Joey Swartz.

Girls golf

LAKELAND 198, HARTLAND 199

The Lakeland girls golf team edged Hartland on Tuesday at Hartland Glen, 198-199.

Bryn Dubin and Sana Singh each shot a 45 to lead Lakeland in the victory. Kathryn Tooman shot a 53, while Gretchen Ullrich carded a 55.

Boys cross country

ROYAL OAK 15, TROY ATHENS 49

The Royal Oak boys cross country team earned a win over Troy Athens on Wednesday, 15- 49.

The Ravens had the top six places. Connor Myatt finished first (17:55.7), Sebastian Ramirez was second (17:59.2), Julio Jaime was third ( 18: 04.0), Weston Schroeder was fourth (18:07.9) and Ruark Wicka was fifth (18:10.7).
