Acts supporting new releases with concerts
Artists can’t tour to promote their new albums right now, but several will be taking the virtual stage this weekend to put a little muscle behind their new releases.
• Sam Smith celebrates his “Love Goes,” with a live performance streamed from Abbey Road Studios in London at 4 p.m. today. He’ll also answer questions from fans and promises some surprise guests. Tickets via samsmithworld. com.
• Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan’s band Puscifer will perform its new album, “Existential Recording,” from Arcosanti, an experimental city in the Arizona desert, at 6 p.m. today. Tickets start at $19.99 via pusciferlive.com.
