Clerk says man stole boxes of condoms

The Bloomfield Township Police Department said it’s investigating a reported theft of condoms that happened Nov. 6 at a Shell gas station. A clerk at the gas station, located at 3690 W. Maple Rd., called police late that morning to report that a man stole six packages of condoms. The suspect is described as a heavy-set, black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall who was wearing a black leather jacket at the time. He then left in a gray 2019 Ford Transit van that registered out of Southfield, police said. Investigators are reviewing video from the store’s security cameras.
