Police: Indecent conduct charge for man who allegedly masturbated in parking lot

A 24-year- old Pontiac man was arrested by Troy police on Nov. 4 for allegedly masturbating inside a car while he was in the Somerset Collection’s parking lot of Nordstrom’s at 2850 W. Big Beaver Rd.

According to the Troy Police Department, officers responded to reports of a man masturbating in his car shortly before 1:30 p.m. that day. They located his vehicle and pulled him over a short distance away, and he reportedly denied any wrongdoings.

Police said he told them that his sole reason for being at the mall was to play a game on his phone, and then gave officers the OK to view his phone where they located an open webpage to a pornography website.

Officers also noted the man had an expired Puerto Rico operator’s license and had never acquired a Michigan driver’s license.

The man was placed under arrest and transported to the Troy police lock-up facility where he was issued a citation for indecent conduct and the driver’s license infractions.
