Michigan added another 5,772 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday along with 62 deaths.

The new cases have pushed Michigan, if counting the probable cases, many of them back when testing was not possible for some people to obtain, past 300,000 total cases.

With probable cases, Michigan has had 303,058 cases and 8,573 deaths.

The number of new cases Wednesday was a slight dip from the levels of new infections in recent days, breaking a string of eight consecutive days with more than 6,000 and the lowest since Nov. 8-9, when the two- day total of new cases was 9,010, or a 4,505 average.

But it is still the 12th straight day with more than 5,000 cases.

Michigan has now seen 277,806 confirmed cases and 8,190 deaths tied to confirmed cases.

Nearly 100,000 of these cases has been reported in November, specifically 99,626 this

month, with 850 deaths reported this month. At this point in October, less than 22,000 cases had been reported that month.

Worldwide caseload neared 56 million with 1.34 million killed, while in the U.S., the cases numbered 11.42 million and deaths approached 250,000.

Oakland County, which has had the most coronavirus cases in the state, added 573 cases Wednesday, moving up to 32,288 confirmed cases.
