Driver with suspended license had weapon in vehicle in car
Police said they discovered a homemade weapon inside a car after they stopped the driver for a traffic violation Tuesday morning. The driver, 61, had no proper paperwork for the car, and only an identification card for himself from New York. Inside the car, police said they spotted a large ax handle wrapped in tape and it was configured as a weapon similar to a club with a lanyard on one end. The man had multiple misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court for driving on a suspended license and never getting a license. He was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, improper license plates and his outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
