Landscaping tools stolen at Woodward Corners mall Police trying to ID pickpocket at Meijer

-

Someone stole about $1,300 worth of landscaping tools that belonged to a crew doing work at the Woodward Corners commercial center at 13 Mile and Woodward. Police were called to the center, owned by Beaumont Hospital, after two trimmers and two leaf blowers were stolen from the bed of a pickup truck on Monday morning. Earlier this month a similar theft was reported by a landscaping crew that was working on Beaumont Hospital grounds.

Someone stole wallets from the purses of two women while they were shopping at Meijer, 5150 Coolidge. The thefts were reported separately Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. One of the women didn’t realize her wallet was stolen until she got to the checkout. Police said they learned there was use of at least one stolen credit card. Police are investigating and reviewing video.
