Rotary Club of West Bloomfield presented a check for $2,500 to West Bloomfield Parks to help them build universally accessible playground at Drake Sports Park.

Upon completion, the playground will be inclusive for those of all abilities. Children in particular, with and without disabilities, will be able to play together, explore and enjoy the park.

In attendance for the presentation were Dr. Gerald Hill, former president, Rotary Club of West Bloomfield; Renee Floer, president, Rotary Club of West Bloomfield; and Jennifer Tucker, executive director of West Bloomfield Parks.

“West Bloomfield Parks is grateful for this gift that takes us one step further toward our goal of offering all children who visit our park the freedom of play,” said Jennifer Tucker, executive director, West Bloomfield Parks. “It will be a place where kids of any ability can play together, including children with wheelchairs, walkers and other mobility support equipment.”
