An 18-year-old Troy man was arrested recently on suspicion of stealing packages from porches. According to Troy police, a report came in at around 4:15 p.m. on Nov. 21 about two people taking the packages at homes in the 5900 block of Cliffside Drive. They were also reportedly seen tossing boxes onto the street from a small white vehicle.

Ring Doorbell video reviewed by police showed them exiting the vehicle, with one suspect wearing a wolfman mask and the other wearing a red and white hockey goalie mask, police said. One witness provided the vehicle’s license plate, police said, which was known to officers due to other incidents involving the same vehicle.

A detective spotted the vehicle in Troy and conducted a traffic stop, subsequently arresting the driver on probable cause, police said. A search of the vehicle turned up several items known to be stolen from several porches, as well as a werewolf mask and hockey mask, police said.

An investigation continues.
