- — Aileen Wingblad, The Oakland Press

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the person who fired gunshots into a Pontiac home occupied by six people Monday afternoon, including six teenagers.

No injuries were reported.

The sheriff’s office said it was shortly before 2 p.m. when deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 80 block of North Edith Street on a report of shots being fired into a dwelling. The caller, a 40-year- old woman, reported that she was home with her children when she heard gunshots coming from outside and that several rounds had entered her home, the sheriff’s office said.

A neighbor told deputies that an unknown black male in a black jacket was seen running from the area after the shots were fired, the sheriff’s office said.

The woman reportedly said she didn’t see the shooter and couldn’t think of anyone who would want to harm her. Along with the woman, the home was occupied at the time by five teenagers ages 19 through 13.

According to the sheriff’s office, two bullet holes were found in a bedroom. No shell casings were located.
