Burglars flee resale shop Jewelry, rare coins taken from home

Surveillance video shows two men broke into the Designer Consignor resale store, 29764 Woodward, and fled without taking anything after an alarm went off.

Police said the men were in a white Dodge Caravan when they shattered a window at the store about 4:15 a.m. Dec. 7.

Officers responded to the alarm, but the two men fled before police arrived.

Someone stole jewelry and some rare coins from a house in the 3100 block of Maplewood.

A woman who lives there called police about 10 a.m. Dec. 5.

She told police she found the front door unlocked, though she believes she locked when she left the day before. The value of the stolen items is undetermined.
