Atlas Wholesale Food matches dining receipts
Atlas Wholesale Food Company is matching dining receipts, Dec. 7-25, with donation credits to restaurants. Atlas, a food distributor to local restaurants and casinos, has launched its “Rescue MI Restaurants,” initiative, to encourage metro Detroit residents to order carry out and delivery. The initiative is to help support locally owned restaurants during the extended Michigan COVID-19 restrictions, according to a press release.
Atlas will match the total amount of receipts to each restaurant in the form of a product credit.
Patrons can show their support by ordering carryout or delivery from their favorite restaurant and taking a photo of the receipt to post publicly on Facebook with the hashtag: #RescueMIRestaurant.
All posts must properly tag the correlating restaurant, list the date of the order and total amount, including tax and tip, according to the press release.
The program runs through Dec. 25 and Atlas will support up to $100,000 in total product donations.
Participating restaurants include: Ahmo’s Gyro, Detroit Wing Company, Fishbones, Kalamata Greek Grill, Kerby’s Koney Island, Kouzina, Leon’s, Lou’s Deli, National Coney Island, Pita Café, Red
