Forgotten Harvest Provides 6,000 meals to local residents in need

Forgotten Harvest, in partnershi­p with Kroger, will provide 6,000 meals to local residents in need during its Hope for the Holidays meal distributi­on.

Starting Dec. 17, food, such as turkey, pork, eggs, milk, cheese, frozen veggies and noodles, will be delivered to Woodside Bible Church in Pontiac and other pantries throughout Macomb and Wayne counties.

“We are so grateful to Kroger and our community partners for helping, especially during this critical time of need,” said Kirk Mayes, CEO of Forgotten Harvest. “This event will provide accessibil­ity to healthy food options for families dealing with food insecurity.”
