- — Monica Drake, MediaNews Group

Central United Methodist Church in Waterford has turned their Advent by Candlelight into a virtual experience.

Musicians and speakers present hymns and Christmas scripture during the 45-minute long program, which can be viewed any time during or after the Advent season. The program is free, but donations are welcome to benefit the Methodist Children’s Home Society. To watch, visit bit.ly/CentralABC2020.

“The Central’s Advent by Candlelight program is designed to encourage calm reflection in an otherwise hectic season and provides an opportunity to refocus on Jesus’ birth and the meaning of Christmas. In addition, we hope that this virtual, self-paced version will bring a bit of joy to those suffering from isolation this Christmas season,” said Rev. Cora Glass, director of Lifelong Faith Formation for Central Church.
