Teen shot dead, father critically injured

A 17-year- old South Lyon boy was killed and his father critically wounded by gunfire Wednesday night.

The shooter is still atlarge, but the South Lyon Police Department reports that a possible suspect has been identified and all leads are being pursued in a joint investigation with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened in the 300 block of East Liberty Street.

As of Thursday morning, the father, 43, was in critical but stable condition at an area hospital.

Names have not yet been released.
