Teen missing after fleeing Children’s Village

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in locating a teenager considered endangered, who fled from Oakland County Children’s Village last month where she had been a resident.

Brooklyn Spears,

14, left Children’s Village on foot at approximat­ely 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, fleeing into a field near the rear of the building, the sheriff’s office said.

Brooklyn has no known contacts in the Pontiac area, but has previous contacts in Dearborn Heights. She also is known to frequent the Lansing and Flint area, the sheriff’s office said.

She’s described as a black female with brown hair and brown eyes, approximat­ely 5 feet 3 inches, weighing 100 pounds. The case has been entered into the National Crime Informatio­n Center and National Center for Missing and Exploited Children databases.
