PBS’ ‘Masterpiec­e’ revels in the old and the new

Britain’s “Masterpiec­e” series celebrates new and old on Sunday, Jan. 10. “Masterpiec­e: 50 Fabulous Years!” reviews the British enterprise’s golden anniversar­y across 90 minutes at 7:30 p.m., while a new adaption of the celebrated James Herriot novels, “All Creatures Great and Small” — starting with his first, “If Only They Could Talk” — debuts at 9 p.m. Both on PBS.
