Authorities have located a toddler in Georgia who was reported missing and endangered after her mother stole a vehicle with her in it.
Just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said the child, Queen Jaiyana-Eloise Norton, 3, is safe with relatives in Georgia and her mother, Shanitra Seay, was arrested by Atlanta, Georgia police.
Late Monday night, Michigan State Police issued an alert for the toddler, who was in her father’s car on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Pontiac when Seay reportedly stole it.
The sheriff’s office, which was also participating in the search, said Seay will eventually be extradited to Oakland County.
